Sacred Ceremony

When we are awake enough to honor our human experience as sacred, intelligent and worth fully inhabiting, we return to the ancient art of ceremony.

Since we first inhabited Earth, and long before our lives became enmeshed and overtaken in the impossibly fast pace of our current reality, humans have made the space to the sacred transitions of life, and to commune, deeply with the forces of nature that surrounded them— both as places to engage in gratitude, and to seel counsel and direction from the other than human world.
Ceremony is part of how we oriented ourselves to the greater world around us, and continued to place ourselves in the great myth of our lives.

Our modern day “ceremonies” are mostly relegated now to ceremonial-like moments in our places of worship (baptisms in church and bat mitzvahs in synagogues, but many of these modern ceremony-like thresholds like the greater spaceholding for the psychological and soul-led transformations that these true passages require. And beyond spaces like marital counseling or personal therapy, many of us lack (and long for) spaces where we can slow down, drop in, recieve oracular wisdom and truly examine the big, big picture of our incarnational path.

Ceremony, whether to mark a right of passage or to commune with an ancient teacher plant, invites us to witness this particular moment of our lives as a piece of a radiant and intelligent tapestry, and to honor our human experience with reverence.

It is my deep honor to serve Life, and the Great Mother, through these ceremonies. They are born of years of learning with indigenous wisdomkeepers, and woven of the song of my own soul’s memory about what it means to be human upon the Earth.
